How to attend the 2022 Cannes Film Festival?
Only a few days left before the 2022 Cannes Festival, which will take place this year from May 17TH till May 28th. An event which is covered by the media worldwide and which has an impact on the whole of the French Riviera. 2022 Cannes Festival: the highlights of this 75th edition
For this 75th edition, the international film festival is returning to its traditional dates by taking over the Croisette from May 17th till May 28th. As master of ceremonies, the Franco-Belgian actress Virginie Efira will present the long-awaited opening and closing nights of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
The jury will be chaired by French actor Vincent Lindon, who, along with the eight members of the jury, will be responsible for viewing the 21 films in official competition this year before awarding the Palme d’Or on May 28th.
The great novelty for this 2022 Cannes Festival is probably the strong presence of social networks which will be honored through an unusual event: the “WORLD INFLUENCERS AND BLOGGERS AWARDS” ceremony. On the Croisette, on May 18th & 19th the most influential personalities on social networks will be rewarded during this award ceremony on the fringes of the festival and among the nominees is a cat named Stepan who has 1 million followers on Instagram.

Stars’ indiscretions during the Cannes Film Festival
This year, many American superstars will walk the red carpet. Tom Cruise, the prestigious guest of this 75th edition, will present the sequel of the cult film Top Gun on the Croisette and in his wake, Tom Hanks, Cate Blanchett or Robert de Niro and Anne Hattaway will attract the flashes of the photographers during the dozen.
While the steps of the Palais des Festivals will welcome a concentration of international movies’ stars, another traditional event of the Cannes Festival will take place, as it does every year, at Cap d’Antibes and should also compete with glamour and celebrities: the Amfar gala. On May 26th, 2022, a few minutes by Tuk Tuk from the Jabotte, many celebrities from the entertainment world will attend this charity event under the leadership of Sharon Stone. For this 28th edition, Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin will be performing in front of a star-studded audience, including Robert de Niro who will be the guest of honour.
