September in Antibes: Summer on Repeat
Ah, September. When everyone else is back at the office drowning in emails, with their tan already fading⊠except you. You, clever as a Jabotte cat, waited for the rush to be over before checking in. And now? Antibes is all yours.
Gone are the crowded beaches where finding a free towel spot felt like winning the lottery. In September and October, you can actually breathe. You can sit at a café terrace without booking weeks ahead, stroll along the ramparts listening⊠to the waves, the wind, maybe even a saxophone around a corner (Sydney Bechet played here, after all).
Why visit in autumn?
- The sea is still warm: 24°C in September, 21°C in October. No wetsuit needed, just a swimsuit (yes, even the one from 1998âwe wonât judge).
- The light is magical: Painters knew it. Cézanne, Picasso⊠and soon you, with your iPhone.
- Seasonal flavours: figs, mushrooms, steaming bouillabaisse, rosĂ© (which, letâs be honest, has no season).
- The calm: Antibes turns back into a village. Youâll hear the birds in the Capâs pine treesâand at La Jabotte, sometimes even our cats snoring louder than the sea.
And at La Jabotte?
Youâll enjoy our hidden garden just 60 meters from the beach, the small heated pool, the cats acting like they own the place (they do), and Tya, the dog, welcoming you with more enthusiasm than an Olympic committee.
Here, you live at your own pace: breakfast under the olive tree, nap with a book you forgot in July, a glass of rosé at noon⊠followed by another at 12:10 (no one judges).
đ In short, September-October is still summerâjust better.
Book your little paradise before the secret gets out.
