Chronicle #40: Quiet mornings in Cap d'Antibes
Cap d’Antibes in the early morning, bathed in soft light between calm sea and silence.
There is a moment, in the Cap d’Antibes, that often goes unnoticed.
Not quite early, not yet busy.
A suspended time between two rhythms.
The light arrives gently.
It doesn’t impose itself, it settles.
On the trees, on the walls, on the still water.
Everything feels slower.
Footsteps sound clearer, voices remain soft.
Even the air feels different.
You walk without thinking about it.
Not to reach somewhere, just to be there.
The Cap d’Antibes reveals itself quietly.
The sea is perfectly calm.
No movement, no noise.
As if it were waiting for the day to begin.
It’s not something you plan.
You arrive there by chance, or by the need for calm.
And quickly, you understand not to rush it.
Slowly, life returns.
A bicycle, a window opening, coffee being prepared somewhere.
Nothing spectacular, yet everything is there.
And then, without noticing, the rhythm shifts.
The world resumes.
But something remains.
Maybe the true luxury of Cap d’Antibes lies here.
In these quiet, almost invisible mornings.
Only noticed by those who take the time.

About La Jabotte
La Jabotte is a small boutique hotel hidden just 60 meters from the sea.
A secret garden, a peaceful atmosphere, and a slower rhythm — a place where evenings feel softer, quieter, and a little outside of time.
