The 12 Most Beautiful Beaches in Antibes and Cap d'Antibes

Turquoise beach in Antibes near Cap d’Antibes on the French Riviera.

In Antibes, the sea is never far away.

From La Jabotte, it often takes only a few minutes on foot to reach a completely different beach. Some are wide and sandy, others are tiny hidden coves along the Cap d’Antibes.

Here are 12 beaches we particularly love in Antibes and Cap d’Antibes, all within walking distance from the hotel.

1. Salis Beach

Only 60 metres from La Jabotte, this is often the first swim of the stay.

A wide sandy beach with incredibly clear water and a beautiful view of the old town walls of Antibes and the Alps in the distance.

It is also where many locals buy one of the best pan bagnats on the French Riviera to enjoy by the sea.

2. Ponteil Beach

Just 300 metres from the hotel, Ponteil is one of the gentlest beaches in Antibes.

Fine sand, shallow water and a lovely view of the old town.

For those who prefer the comfort of a private beach, the Royal Beach is located here as well.

3. Garoupe Beach

Located in the heart of Cap d’Antibes, Garoupe is a classic.

A mix of sand and pebbles, turquoise water and a few legendary beach restaurants.

It is about a 30-minute walk from La Jabotte, or a short ride with the hotel tuk-tuk.

It is also the starting point of the Cap d’Antibes Coastal Path, one of the most beautiful walks on the French Riviera.

4. Keller Beach

Right next to Garoupe, Keller is one of the most famous beaches on the Cap.

It has long been known as a beach for celebrities, with several renowned private beach clubs.

The water is incredibly clear and the setting is perfect for a relaxed afternoon by the sea.

5. Billionaires Bay

Probably the wildest beach on Cap d’Antibes.

You reach it by walking from Garoupe along the coastal path. The walk takes about an hour but the small rocky bay at the end is unforgettable.

Above the bay are the gardens of Villa Eilenroc, a beautiful place for a stroll or a picnic.

6. The coves of the coastal path

Between Garoupe and Billionaires Bay, the path hides several small coves with crystal clear water.

Perfect places to swim or picnic by the sea, far from the crowds.

7. Ondes Beach

A quieter beach on Cap d’Antibes.

Nearby lies the small harbour of l’Olivette, one of the most photographed spots in Antibes.

At sunset, the light here is spectacular.

8. Gravette Beach

Nestled at the foot of the old town walls, Gravette is one of the most iconic beaches in Antibes.

It sits just below the Picasso Museum, accessible on foot from Port Vauban.

A perfect swim after exploring the historic centre.

9. Port de la Salis

Not exactly a beach but a charming little spot loved by locals.

Pebbles, calm water in the morning and a very relaxed atmosphere.

It is also a great place to start a paddle along the Cap d’Antibes.

10. The beaches of Juan-les-Pins

About 20 minutes away, the long sandy beaches of Juan-les-Pins offer a livelier atmosphere.

There are also several private beach clubs.

Our favourite spot is the beach behind the Pinède, near the location of the famous Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival, usually quieter.

11. Crouton Beach

Just 10 minutes on foot, Juan-les-Pins is another world: a lively seafront, beach restaurants, bars, a casino and terraces open late into the night. It is here that the legendary Antibes Juan-les-Pins International Jazz Festival takes place every summer — one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world. Even without a concert, an evening stroll is well worth it.

12. A hidden cove near La Jabotte

Just ten minutes from the hotel, two small coves hide along the Cap.

You cannot see them from the road, which is probably why they feel so special.

And with a bit of luck, you might meet Tya, the dog of La Jabotte, checking the sea.

Each beach in Antibes has its own personality.

Some are perfect for an early swim before breakfast, others for a long sunny afternoon, and some simply for sitting quietly by the sea.

And perhaps that is the real luxury of Cap d’Antibes: choosing your sea every day.
