The Jabotte Journeys : Antibes at night: what to do in the evening in Old Antibes

Antibes during the day feels bright and carefree.

But when the sun disappears behind the old ramparts, the town reveals another side. Terraces come alive, the streets grow quieter, and the air becomes softer.

For many travelers, this is when Antibes becomes truly magical.

In the evening, Old Antibes feels almost intimate.

You wander through the small streets between the port, the Provençal market and the Picasso Museum, guided by warm streetlights and the aromas drifting from nearby kitchens.

Every corner invites you to slow down.

For an elegant dinner, many locals love Le Safranier.
The small square is shaded by large plane trees and the cuisine celebrates Mediterranean flavors with seasonal local products.

It is one of the most charming dining spots in Old Antibes.

Just below the ramparts, near the old washing fountain, Le Comptoir de la Tourraque offers another beautiful setting.
Dining here feels like stepping back in time among the old stone walls.

For something simpler and very Provençal, Le Brûlot serves wood-fire cuisine perfect for a relaxed summer evening.

After dinner, the night can continue slowly.
An ice cream from Gelateria del Porto, eaten while watching the yachts of Port Vauban, is almost a ritual in Antibes.

Then comes the pleasure of wandering again through the old streets.

For those who enjoy hidden places, L’Absynthe Bar is unforgettable.
Set among the ancient stones of the old town, it features historic absinthe machines and a warm piano-bar atmosphere.

A truly unique place.

Some evenings are best spent walking.

Sunset at Port de l’Olivette on the Cap d’Antibes is one of the most romantic spots on the French Riviera.

Others prefer continuing towards Juan-les-Pins for a dinner with their feet in the sand.

And if you’re not in the mood for a full dinner, the solution is easy:

stop at one of the small tapas bars near the Provençal market. A few plates to share, a glass of rosé, and the evening unfolds naturally.

Later, returning to La Jabotte feels wonderfully peaceful.
The garden is quiet, the pool reflects the sky, and sometimes Tya or Yin appear to greet late-night guests.
