Chronicle #19: Not planning too much
**Some arrive with a schedule.
Others arrive with open-minded.**
Everything planned.
Everything booked.
Everything anticipated.
And then there are those who simply planned… to arrive.
Not planning too much is not forgetting.
It is leaving room.
For the unexpected.
For the mood of the moment.
For the weather to decide (often better than we do).
Holidays do not like being managed.
They prefer detours.
Voluntary delays.
Plans that change at 11:17 for no valid reason.
And honestly, they are right.
In Antibes, the plan is made as you walk.
You step outside.
You look at the sky.
You turn left instead of right.
You stop because the shade looks good.
And suddenly, everything else can wait.
Planning less means seeing more.
A detail on a façade.
A singing accent heard in the street.
A moment that was not planned…
and becomes the best one of the day.
Not planning too much also means allowing yourself to do nothing.
Or very little.
Or for a long time.
Without guilt.
Time here is rather understanding.
And what if this was the real luxury?
Not rushing.
Not ticking boxes.
Not optimising.
Just being there.
And seeing what happens.
**Not planning too much.
And leaving with exactly what you needed.**

About La Jabotte
La Jabotte is a small boutique hotel hidden just 60 meters from the sea.
A secret garden, a peaceful atmosphere, and a slower rhythm — a place where evenings feel softer, quieter, and a little outside of time.
