Chronicle #24: Summer Arrives Gently
Here, summer doesn’t explode.
It doesn’t arrive with a bang.
It doesn’t make noise.
It settles.
Gently.
You first notice it in the light.
It turns more golden.
Longer.
Softer.
Evenings stretch without warning.
Sixty meters from the sea, the first swimsuits start to appear.
Not the crowds yet.
Not peak August.
Just that delicious feeling:
it’s beginning.
Breakfasts take their time.
No one really looks at the clock anymore.
Coffee cools slightly.
Conversations last longer.
Even Tya lies in the shade as if she knows.
The regulars start talking about “their” table.
“Their” room.
“Their” favorite corner of the garden.
Summer arrives when you start saying “home.”
Picnic baskets come back out.
Towels smell like sunshine.
Windows stay open a little longer.
The house breathes differently.
There is still space.
Still calm.
Still that quiet luxury of not rushing.
It may be the most beautiful moment of the season.
The one when everything feels possible.
So if you’re waiting for “the right time” to come…
It might be now.
Before summer fills up.
Before it speeds up.
Here, it arrives gently.
And that’s exactly why we love it.

A secret garden, a peaceful atmosphere, and a slower rhythm — a place where evenings feel softer, quieter, and a little outside of time.
