Forgetting the time
It starts without warning.
No one decided.
No one announced anything.
Time is still there.
Somewhere.
It just doesn’t get a say anymore.
You sit down.
You’re not looking at anything in particular.
You’re looking for a long time.
The body understands before the mind.
There’s nothing to do.
And nothing to catch up with.
The phone stays face down.
Like an object
that has quietly aged.
You say “five more minutes.”
Without knowing which ones.
Without intending to count them.
Time softens.
It becomes lukewarm.
Almost comfortable.
You forget the time.
Not out of carelessness.
Out of relief.

About La Jabotte
La Jabotte is a small boutique hotel hidden just 60 meters from the sea.
A secret garden, a peaceful atmosphere, and a slower rhythm — a place where evenings feel softer, quieter, and a little outside of time.
