Chronicle #1: Welcome to the year you'll finally pack your suitcase properly

Chronicle #1: Welcome to the year you'll finally pack your suitcase properly

2026. New year, new resolutions… and still that overstuffed suitcase.

Between the “just-in-case” straw hat, the golden flip-flops you wear once a summer, and the eight books you’ll never read, it’s time to restore a little order.

At La Jabotte, we’ve seen every kind of suitcase — big, tiny, colourful, sometimes with a mind of their own.
Because we love to share (everything except our favourite pillows), here are **five Côte d’Azur-proof tips** for lighter, happier packing.

1) Linen shorts beat jeans. Always.

Sun shining, sea sparkling — jeans suffocating.
Choose light, airy, “I’m already on holiday” fabrics.
Linen shorts win, especially at 28 °C before breakfast.

2) Yes to sunscreen. No to hairdryers.

Hair dries in seven minutes flat.
Sunscreen — organic, SPF 50 — is your best friend.

3) Save room for souvenirs… and a few cat hairs.

A bar of Grasse soap, olive oil… or the urge to adopt Pompon.
If not, you’ll still find **two garden hairs** tucked away.

4) Pack an “I’m not going out but I still look cool” outfit.

For lingering in the garden — morning… and maybe evening.
That’s La Jabotte: you forget time and invent new apéritifs.

5) One book. A good one.

You’ll only read one — make it worth it.
The rest is written in waves, seagulls and smiles.

A little closing note

“And don’t forget your best cat, dog or bird T-shirt… here, it’s almost evening wear.”

At La Jabotte, a well-packed suitcase is already the start of your holiday.
Bags at the ready — **the Antibes sunshine is waiting.**
